Waterfront Operations Update: December 2013

Upcoming Projects:

Find out what's happening in Old Town Alexandriafor free with the latest updates from Patch.

All Parks:

  • Consolidation of the signage at park entrances is scheduled prior to Spring.

Founders Park:

  • Trail work and edging is scheduled prior to Spring. Focus areas include areas of regular ponding and washouts.

Waterfront Park:

  • Landscaping timbers along Strand Street and Prince Street are scheduled for replacement prior to Spring.

Windmill Hill Park:

  • Turf renovations are scheduled for half the dog park during the mid to late Spring (with the other half scheduled for the 2015 season). The area under renovation will closed for use for 2-4 months while the new turf is established. The other half of the dog park will be open for use. The walkway will remain open.
