Waterfront Operations Update: July 1 – July 7

King Street Park:

• The entrance bed and the bed between the two guard rails near the water is converting into planting areas. Both areas will be surfaced with Riverstone. This project will be started within the next few weeks. If you would like to be involved with this projects call 703.437.5518

Windmill Hill Park:

• Two dead trees on the south east corner of the dog park have been marked for removal, scheduled for removal in the near future.
• The tables and benches for the new pads should be arriving before the end of July. *
• Aeration is scheduled between July 10th-26th. Aeration at this park may begin as early as this week.

  Gypsum:  MSDS

Founder’s Park: 

• A volunteer group is installing drainage at low spots on path and clearing the English Ivy from the central flower bed on July 12th.

• Aeration of the dog park is scheduled between July 15th-26th.

Oronoco Bay Park:

• City Birthday Celebration will be this Saturday from 7-10pm, staff will be working in the park this week preparing for this event.  For the event flyer click here.
