This Week's Weather in Alexandria

Temperatures will take a tumble this week, according to the National Weather Service. Here are the details.

With fall officially here, it’s only natural we’ll be seeing a dip in temperatures and this week, according to the National Weather Service, and occasional showers are forecast all week long.

Highs on Monday and Tuesday start out around 80 degrees but later in the week, we’ll only see a high of 74 on Wednesday and then highs only in the mid-60s Thursday through Sunday.

Looks like Sunday is forecast to be the best weather day.

  • Monday Night: A chance of rain, mainly after midnight. Areas of fog after 1am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 69. Southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Tuesday: A chance of rain before noon, then a chance of showers after noon. Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 81. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 67. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 74. South wind 5 to 11 mph becoming north in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Wednesday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 60. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
