Weichert, Realtors' Alexandria/Old Town Office Donates Prize Money To The Parent Leadership Training Institute Of Alexandria
Real Estate Office Donates to Thriving Organization

Mark Ackermann, manager of the Weichert, Realtors Alexandria/Old Town office, recently announced that his office donated $2,500 to the Parent Leadership Training Institute of Alexandria (PLTI), an organization whose mission is to enable parents to become leading advocates for children.
“As a team, we chose to donate our prize money from a Weichert sales incentive program to this noteworthy organization,” said Ackermann. “We feel privileged to have this opportunity and hope to draw attention to this wonderful organization that is striving to better the communities we live in.”
The Parent Leadership Training Institute of Alexandria helps parents become the leaders they would like to be for children and families. Some of PTLI’s goals are to expand the capacity of parents as change agents for children and families, develop communities of parents within regions of the state that will support one another in skills development and successful parent action for children, facilitate systems change for parental involvement with increased utilization of parents in policy and process decisions and increase parent-child interactions and improve child outcomes through parent involvement.
