Update: Suspect Arrested In King Street Station Assault
Update: Alexandria Police arrested and charged a suspect in a robbery at King Street Station Wednesday.
(Updated 1:57 p.m. Wednesday) ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Alexandria Police have arrested a suspect in a robbery at King Street Station at King Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
Around 7:24 a.m., the suspect assaulted a woman and stole her purse, police say. Anthony Cooper, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery and malicious wounding.
Police did not report the victim being taken to a hospital.
