• Army's brutal new test is weeding out weak soldiers (rollingout.com) — A major overhaul of Army fitness standards includes a tough new combat field test, highlighted in a recent speech at Marine Corps Base Quantico criticizing poor military fitness. The annual test, which could eventually push out those who fail, mimics battlefield conditions with timed runs, heavy carries, and sandbag lifts, and reflects broader concerns about obesity and health across the force.
