RESTON, VA — Government technology contractor TekSynap will relocate its headquarters to a larger office at Reston Town Center after signing a long-term lease for an entire floor at one of the mixed-use development's office buildings.
The company has leased approximately 26,500 square feet on the second floor of 11921 Freedom Drive, according to an announcement Monday from property owner and developer BXP. TekSynap will move from its current headquarters at 1900 Oracle Way in Reston.
Founded in 2008, TekSynap is a Reston-based information technology systems integrator that provides cloud integration, cybersecurity, software development and enterprise IT modernization services to federal civilian, defense and intelligence agencies.
The company said the new office will serve as its core services hub, supporting employees embedded with government customers while providing upgraded workspace for its headquarters operations. TekSynap said it has approximately 1,800 employees and subcontracted personnel.
"TekSynap's move to Reston Town Center underscores the demand for workplaces that combine high-quality office space with a vibrant, amenity-rich environment," Erin Cotter, BXP's vice president of office leasing, said in a statement.

Cotter said Reston Town Center's transit access and mix of restaurants, retail and other amenities make it attractive to technology companies focused on collaboration, recruiting and long-term growth.
TekSynap CEO Kam Jinnah said the relocation marks an important milestone for the company as it continues to expand its presence in the government contracting market.
"Our growth has not come easily; it has been earned through technical excellence, responsiveness, and an unwavering commitment to our customers' missions," Jinnah said. "Taking major space in the heart of the Reston Town Center is a meaningful milestone for our company, and we are excited to continue investing in our employees, our community, and the next chapter of TekSynap's growth."
The lease adds to continued office and retail activity at Reston Town Center, which encompasses more than 5 million square feet of office, retail and residential space near the Washington Metro Silver Line station.
BXP said several new businesses have opened at the development this year, including MidnighTreats, Collars & Co., Clarity and Livewell Animal Hospital. Italian-American restaurants Grazie Nonna and Grazie Grazie, along with Dogfish Head Alehouse, are expected to open later this year.
Cole Spalding of Newmark represented TekSynap in the lease transaction.
