The department announced the arrest in an 8:18 a.m. post on X and said additional information would be released Wednesday afternoon.

Great Falls Homicide Investigated

Officers responded to the park in the 8800 block of Georgetown Pike at 6:43 a.m. Monday following a report of an unconscious woman lying in the parking lot near a 2011 Honda Civic.

Police found Puch with trauma to her upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives determined that the Honda was registered to Puch. The department previously said detectives from its Major Crimes Bureau and Crime Scene Section were processing evidence and working to identify a suspect.

An autopsy was expected to determine Puch's cause and manner of death. Although police previously labeled a Facebook video about the case as involving a stabbing, the department's written update described her injuries as upper-body trauma.

Chief Kevin Davis is scheduled to host a news briefing at 1 p.m. at public safety headquarters to provide details of the case. Police had not disclosed a possible motive for the homicide.
