Lorton Teen Charged In Murders Of Girlfriend's Reston Parents
A Lorton teen reportedly killed the parents of his Reston girlfriend after they forbid him from seeing her over his neo-Nazi views.

RESTON, VA -- The Lorton teen accused of killing his girlfriend's Reston parents — who reportedly were concerned about his neo-Nazi views — was formally charged with two counts of murder on Friday. The 17-year-old boy, who remains unidentified by police but has been identified by one report as Nicholas Giampa, is still in the hospital under police guard. He was already charged as a juvenile with two counts of murder, but because of his condition he had not yet been served, a Fairfax County Police spokeswoman previously told Patch.
The boy is accused of shooting to death his 16-year-old girlfriend's parents, Scott Fricker, 48, and Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, 43, on Dec. 22 after sneaking into his girlfriend's room early in the morning. He then turned the gun on himself at the couple's Black Fir Court home in Reston, police say.
Criminal petitions stating the murder charges were delivered to the suspect in the hospital on Friday by Fairfax County Police. “We can’t speak to his condition at this current time, but we do know that he is still being treated at the hospital, and he did have to be awake for the petitions to be served,” Reem Awad, a spokeswoman for Fairfax County police, told WTOP.

The suspect's injuries have been described by police as life-threatening.
The girl's parents intervened in their relationship after discovering the boy's neo-Nazi views, according to reports, and eventually their daughter agreed not to see him anymore. The boy also reportedly mowed a 40-foot swastika into a community field in Lorton earlier in the year. A Twitter account that was linked to him featured racist and bigoted views, particularly about Jews and transgendered people.

The alleged killer apparently came to the Fricker house armed to the teeth, as investigators found 10 cartridge cases, a knife, and a hammer at the scene, according to The Washington Post. Police believe the boy murdered the couple when they confronted him after he sneaked into their daughter's bedroom early that morning. There were blood stains on the walls and floors, as well as bullet fragments and holes in the office, ceiling, and hallway, according to search warrants.
"The preliminary investigation determined the suspect, who knows the residents of the home, got inside and was then confronted by the couple," police said in a statement. "The suspect shot them both and then himself. Four other family members who were home at the time of the shooting were not hurt."
One of the search warrants quoted by the Post states that there had been communication between Buckley Kuhn-Fricker and the family of the suspect, which may have been a text to the suspect's mother saying the two could no longer date.
