Man Killed In Pedestrian-Involved Crash; Reston Parkway Reopens

RESTON, VA — Reston Parkway and Stratford House Place in Reston reopened for traffic around 3:15 p.m., after detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit finished investigating the scene of an earlier fatal pedestrian-involved crash.

A man who was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning at Reston Parkway and Stratford was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police have not identified the victim and the driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene, according to police.

The southbound lanes of the Reston Parkway were closed for several hours to allow the CRU to conduct its work.
