• Reston Woman Identified As Victim In Great Falls Park Homicide (patch.com) — Reston residents are learning more about a homicide victim with local ties, as police identify the woman found dead at Difficult Run Park as 42-year-old Reston resident Carmen Lizet Puch. Fairfax County detectives are investigating the killing, processing evidence, and asking the public for tips or surveillance footage while victim specialists support Puch's family.
   

• Makers Point offices in Reston eyed for residential redevelopment (ffxnow.com) — A major office complex on Sunrise Valley Drive in south Reston could be transformed into 234 to 557 new homes, including townhouses and a possible seven-story multifamily building with required affordable units. The Makers Point proposal adds new streets, wide shared-use paths, and sizable park spaces with playgrounds, fitness areas, and a dog park, reshaping the Wiehle-Reston East area over multiple phases.
   

• Virginia hotel business finally rebounds from pandemic problems (pilotonline.com) — Hotels in the Reston area are finally seeing midweek business and government travelers return, helping Northern Virginia's hospitality industry rebound from the pandemic slump. Statewide, room revenues and occupancy are climbing, fueled by federal travel, defense-related visits, and 250th anniversary tourism, with local hotel operators reporting stronger demand and more stable staffing than in recent years.
