Stolen Auto Recovered; Police Charge 2 With Grand Larceny

RESTON, VA — An officer from the Reston District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department recovered an SUV on Jan. 22 in the Great Falls area that had been reported stolen from a nearby jurisdiction, according to the weekly crime report.

Around 11:48 p.m., the officer was driving in the 1000 block of Aziza Court in when they noticed a 2017 Honda Pilot SUV that had been stole.

When the officer conducted a traffic stop, the two occupants exited the Honda and ran off. Following a short pursuit on foot, police apprehended the two men, according to the report.

Police filed grand larceny charges against the occupants of the SUV, one of whom was 20 and the other 22. Police also reported they were from Springfield.
