1. 6 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Through Sterling Store Window (patch.com) β Sterling shoppers are being urged to steer clear of Manifest Boulevard after a vehicle slammed through the front window of a Goodwill store, injuring six people Wednesday afternoon. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue says all victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, and the building is structurally sound while deputies investigate and crews handle cleanup.

2. 'If It Can Happen to Me, It Can Happen to Anybody' (blueridgeleader.com) β Neighbors near Rock Ridge High and Rosa Lee Carter Elementary in the Sterling District are rallying against proposed Dominion Energy transmission lines that could run close to homes, schools, and the Broad Run Stream Valley. Residents, school board member Amy Riccardi, and environmental advocates argue the lines should follow commercial corridors instead, citing concerns about student safety, tree loss, and long-term impacts on Loudounβs remaining wildlife habitat.

3. DMV Chocolate & Coffee Festival Finds New Home and Expands for 2026 (luxcafeclub.com) β Sterling residents can look forward to the DMV Chocolate & Coffee Festival coming to the new DTC Expo at Dulles Town Center on November 14β15, bringing more than 200 small businesses and artisans. After losing the Dulles Expo Center to IKEA, organizers expanded the festival to two locations, with Sterling hosting the Virginia edition that features coffees, teas, hand-crafted chocolates, and a food drive for local food banks.

4. Inside the new Concourse E coming to Dulles International Airport (theburn.com) β Sterling-area travelers will soon see big changes at nearby Dulles International Airport as the new Concourse E prepares to open with 14 gates by early fall. The concourse will feature a large United Club, an array of new restaurants including a Loudoun-based brewery, and improved connections for international arrivals, with room to add more than 20 additional gates in future phases.
