• New Medicaid work requirements expected to impact more than 20,000 in Henrico (henricocitizen.com) — Henrico supervisors have approved a $13.8 million construction contract to upgrade Tuckahoe Park, alongside new countywide road maintenance contracts and rules for shared-use paths and e-bikes. At the same meeting, officials detailed how new federal Medicaid work requirements will affect more than 20,000 Henrico residents and strain the county's social services staff, prompting a planned budget amendment to add positions. 
• Henrico students show modest improvement on SOLs but still trail Virginia peers in reading, math (henricocitizen.com) — Henrico's latest SOL scores show Tuckahoe Elementary students far outperforming county averages, with pass rates above 90% in math, reading, and science. Countywide, overall scores in math ticked up and reading and science held steady, but Henrico still trails Virginia averages in grades 3–8 and large gaps persist between high-performing West End schools and several lower-scoring schools elsewhere.
