Former Journalist Dusty Smith Joins Commonwealth Consultants
Responsibilities will focus on the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project

TYSONS, VA — Commonwealth Consultants recently hired Dusty Smith as the firm’s Director of Public Relations. His responsibilities will include working with the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project’s Outreach Office as well as other clients of the firm.
“Dusty brings a breadth of knowledge of the Washington Metropolitan area, particularly with respect to development and transportation,” said Jim Lamb, president of Commonwealth Consultants. “We’re excited to add his skillset to our team.”

With more than 15 years of journalism experience working for a range of publications across Northern Virginia and in Washington, DC, Dusty has gained knowledge about a range of issues at the local, state and federal level, particularly regarding development and transportation.
Most recently, he operated his own digital news publication covering Ashburn, VA. In addition, he began working for The Casey Group, a Leesburg, VAbased public relations firm, in 2014, where he assisted with clients such as Ford Motor Company, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust.
