The Women's Center 28th Annual Leadership Conference

For 28 years, The Women’s Center has hosted a conference that connects 800 women at this inspirational event focused on leadership for women, where speakers share insights and wisdom gained from their personal experience.

One of the Nation’s Capital’s best conferences for women, this event helps to complement, promote and support The Women’s Center’s year round counseling, education and resources for women and families, including reduced fee and no charge services for those without health insurance or the ability to pay.

This year’s Award Recipients are: 

• Anne-Marie Slaughter, President & CEO of the New America Foundation; 
• Maureen Bunyan, award-winning journalist; 
• Holly Petraeus, celebrated advocate for military families in need; 
• Susannah Wellford, President and Chair of Running Start; 
• Linda Singh, Managing Director, Accenture and BG Maryland National Guard; and 
• Susan Chodakewitz, President, Tetra Tech AMT

Noted author Jan Fox will moderate a panel discussion with honorees who will

share insights from their personal journeys and perspectives on the changing

role of women in contemporary leadership. The program will also include interactive break-out sessions addressing effective communication practices, management skills development, health and wellness, and work-life balance.
