Tysons Firm Donates 15,000 Face Masks To Fairfax County
County employees and healthcare workers conducting essential activities are among the recipients of the donation.
TYSONS, VA — Portals Global, a consulting firm based in Tysons, donated 15,000 masks to Fairfax County to help essential workers during the pandemic. The donated FDA-approved KN95 masks have been distributed to recipients such as county employees and healthcare workers conducting essential duties.
With assistance from the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, Portal Global was connected with Volunteer Fairfax to make the donation. Victor Hoskins, president and CEO of the economic development authority, said essential workers who can't work from home will benefit from the mask donation.
Omo Igiehon, the firm's CEO, said he wanted to give back to the community that he has lived in for 21 years. The company plans on helping more in the near future, with a focus on charities, schools and first responders.
