2 Vienna Restaurants Nominated For RAMMY Awards
The RAMMY awards, recognizing the accomplishments of the DC region's restaurant and food service industry, announced nominees for 2022.

VIENNA, VA — Two Vienna restaurants are up for RAMMY awards, a top honor for the restaurant and food service industry in the DC region.
RAMMY awards are open to members of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington. Among the nominees is Caboose Tavern for the Beer Program of the Year award. Caboose Tavern first opened in 2015 at its Vienna location along the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, expanding to Caboose Commons at the Mosaic District in 2018. According to the award criteria, a nominee for the award is "distinguished by the quality, diversity, clarity and value of its beer program." Nominees will be judged on the diversity and quality of their beer program. Nominees must have been in business for at least one year by the end of 2021.
The other Vienna nominee is Blend 111 for the Best Brunch of the Year award. Blend 111 opened in 2019, serving up a "blend" of modern Latin cuisine. Brunch is offered on weekends, and special menus are offered on holidays and other occasions. According to the award criteria, a Best Brunch of the Year nominee shows "a high standard of dining excellence and service for its brunch in a formal, upscale, or casual environment." Restaurants must have been open during 2021.

The nomination ceremony for the 40th annual awards was held Tuesday night. Winners will be announced at the RAMMY Awards Gala on July 24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Judges will decide winners for most of the RAMMY categories. The seven categories decided by a public vote will be Favorite Gathering Place of the Year, Favorite Fast Bites, Best Brunch of the Year, Outstanding Pop-Up Concept, Standout Family Meal Packages To Go, Splendid Holidays at Home and Hottest Sandwich Spot.
