Vienna Halloween Parade Winners Announced At Town Council Meeting

VIENNA, VA — The Gotta Swing Dancers won Best in Show at the 2022 Vienna Halloween Parade, held Wednesday, Oct. 26 along Maple Avenue.

Lily Widman, the town's event coordinator, announced the awards at Monday's Town Council meeting, and ribbons were presented to winners by Mayor Linda Colbert and Vienna Business Association Executive Director Peggy James.

"This is such a special community tradition in Vienna," said Widman at the Monday Town Council meeting. "This is our 76th annual parade this year, and you all worked so hard to put together amazing entries."

The Best in Show award was presented to the entry with performances and costumes best fitting with the parade theme: "Time Machine: Vienna in the past, present and future."

An estimated 30,000 people watched the parade, hosted by the Town of Vienna and Vienna Business Association. View a recording of the parade on the Town of Vienna's YouTube channel. The town plans to announce the 2023 parade theme soon on the Vienna Halloween Parade web page, according to Widman.
