60th Anniversary Party Planned For Vienna Community Center
The Vienna Community Center will celebrate its 60th birthday with an open house.

VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Community Center will mark its 60th anniversary with an open house on April 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its location on 120 Cherry Street SE.
According to a news release, the celebration will be a retro affair with a 1960s theme. Guests can take self-guided tours through the center, visit a photo memory wall, contribute their own stories and, of course, share some cake. There will also be prize giveaways.
The Vienna Community Center was first funded in 1946 by the Vienna Lions Club. Twenty years later, the organizers had finally raised enough money to begin construction and open the facility in 1966.
