VIENNA, VA—With spring in full spring, there's now plenty of outdoor fun to keep you busy on the weekends.
The weekend of April 28-29 is packed with events in and around Vienna. Whether you want to go on a scavenger hunt, attend a performance or simply just eat lots of good food, there's something for you this weekend.
1. Taste of Vienna - Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Parking lot of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center Street South.
The seventh annual Taste of Vienna lets you sample your favorite local restaurants with proceeds benefiting the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Over 20 restaurants are participating, and there will be live music and a moon bounce for kids. Admission is free with food and beverage tickets available for purchase.

2. Bards Alley Book Hunt - Saturday, April 28, beginning at 9 a.m.
Around Vienna
Bookworms of all ages are invited to a free scavenger hunt around Vienna on Saturday, April 28 for National Independent Bookstore Day. Participants should look for brown paper-wrapped books tied with string and sporting Bards Alley stickers. A clue to each book's genre will be written on front. Books can be found at and around a number of local businesses, and in public spaces throughout the Town of Vienna.
3. Walk On The Hill - Sunday, April 29, 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Windover Heights Historic District, Vienna
For the 44th year, residents of Vienna's Windover Heights Historic District will open their gardens and yards for tours in perhaps the town's prettiest event of the year. Attendees can get a rare glimpse into the historic district and enjoy live music, refreshments and other activities.
4. Madison Warhawks Games, April 27-29
James Madison High School Stadium, 2500 James Madison Drive, Vienna and away locations
Support the Warhawks at games throughout the weekend. Among the highlights is senior night for James Madison High School boys' lacrosse at 6:45 p.m. Friday. For the full schedule, visit www.warhawksports.org/main/calendar/
5. 23rd annual ValeArts Show - April 27-30, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Vale Schoolhouse, 3124 Fox Mill Rd, Oakton
More than 150 original paintings will be on display at the Vale Schoolhouse. Kim Richards and Kathleen Best Gillmann will join the ValeArtists (Linda Lovell, Laura Barringer, Mary Beth Gaiarin, Traci Oberle, Lorrie Herman, Jenna Klimchak, and Meredith Hannon) at the Vale Schoolhouse. Reception is Friday from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
6. Annual Evening of Comedy at Wolf Trap - Friday, April 27, 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The Barns transforms into a comedy club for 3 performances of hilarious stand-up entertainment. Tickets are $25-$28.
7. Vienna Theatre Company Presents 'Blithe Spirit' - April 27, 28 and May 4, 5 at 8 p.m. and April 29 and May 6 at 2 p.m.

Fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine is re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting "happy medium," one Madame Arcati. As the personalities (both worldly and unworldly) clash, Charles' current wife, Ruth, is accidentally killed, "passes over," joins Elvira, and the two "blithe spirits" haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity. Tickets are $14.
