Armed Man Steals Meds From Vienna Business

The man was armed when he took medications from a pharmacy in Vienna this week.

VIENNA, VA—An armed man robbed the Tyson's Pharmacy at 110 Pleasant Street NW Wednesday in Vienna, police say.

It was around 9:30 a.m. when the suspect walked in and stole medications while displaying a weapon. Police have not released information on the weapon he used and which medications he took.

Luckily, no one was injured. Police have not announced an arrest and continue to investigate.

January 5 between 11:15 p.m. and 11:22 p.m.
A citizen called to report he had witnessed a person being assaulted by a group of men. Police responded to the area and investigated. A few hours later the victim was located.

Sometime between January 5 10:30 p.m. and January 8 10:30 a.m.
An employee reported that sometime during the weekend someone entered the teen center through an unsecured door. Several soda cans and money from a cash box were stolen.

Hit and Run 18-0000134

456 Malcolm Road NW
January 6 6:40 a.m.

Driver-1 states she fell asleep and ran off the roadway striking a mailbox and then striking a
utility pole. She attempted to call her father and when she did not get a response, she walked
home. The driver was not injured.

Hit and Run 18-0000306
Hine Street SE / East Street SE
January 11 6:13 p.m.

An unknown large vehicle is suspected to have hit the stop sign at the intersection of Hine Street
SE and East Street SE. The sign struck was facing Eastbound. An unknown amount of damage
was done to the top of the sign and the pole itself was slightly bent over. No other damage was
observed.
