Assistance League of Northern Virginia Joins Dunn Loring-Merrifeld Rotary Club Meeting on December 2nd

Members share the scope and impact of the nonprofit's signature Operation School Bell program, Weekend Food for Kids.

Assistance League of Northern Virginia would like to thank Dunn Loring-Merrifield Rotary Club for inviting members of the all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit to share with the club the scope and impact of its Operation School Bell® Weekend Food for Kids program. Started in 2010, this program now provides nonperishable food to children in need in six Title I elementary schools in our community, and grants from the Rotary have been critical to the organization's success. Jeanne Sclater, VP of Philanthropic Programs, spoke on behalf of Linda Shilts, president of Assistance League of Northern Virginia. Member volunteer Debbie Aghamiri also attended the December 2nd event at Tysons Corner.
