Assistance League of Northern Virginia Receives $10,000 Grant

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards all-volunteer nonprofit critical funding for its 2017-18 Weekend Food for Kid program.

Assistance League of Northern Virginina would like to recognize Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation for selecting the nonprofit to receive a grant of $10,000 in support of its Weekend Food for Kids program. This generous grant will enable the organization to continue food distribution to 1,500 children in need in six Title I schools in Fairfax and Prince William counties and the City of Alexandria. Since 2012, Dominion Energy Virginia has donated more than $100,000 in grants to Assistance League's philanthropic program.

In 2015, Assistance League presented Dominion Energy with the National Operation School Bell Award in recognition of its outstanding philanthropic and volunteer support of the Weekend Food for Kids program.
