Assistance League Offers Volunteer Opportunities

If you are looking for a way to make a difference in your community, consider becoming a member of Assistance League of Northern Virginia. Learn more at our “Open House” information session Thursday, October 14th at the Oakton Library, 10304 Lynnhaven Place, Oakton. Drop by any time between 10:30 and noon and learn about our philanthropic programs and the volunteers who make them happen. Our programs provide food, clothing, books, and reading assistance to students at 11 elementary schools in Fairfax and Prince William counties and the city of Alexandria. Members will be available to showcase our programs, to answer your questions, and to explain how you can help the most vulnerable in our community. We need volunteers to provide both hands-on help and to do some behind-the scenes tasks. www.alnv.org

Face coverings are required in the library.
