Attempted Gun Theft Thwarted Outside Vienna Arsenal: Police
A juvenile attempted to steal a gun when meeting with a seller at Vienna Arsenal, according to police.

VIENNA, VA — A person who met up with a buyer to sell a gun at Vienna Arsenal stopped the gun from being stolen Wednesday, according to Vienna Police.
Officers responded to the robbery in progress around 4:08 p.m. Wednesday. A seller who listed a gun for sale agreed to meet with the buyer at Vienna Arsenal to complete the sale. The seller told police the buyer picked up the gun and said he needed to get money from the vehicle. When the buyer ran away with the gun, the seller chased the buyer into a bank parking lot next door, drew a gun and ordered the buyer to stop. The seller walked the buyer back and held him until police arrived.
Police say the suspect provided false identifying information to officers. Police identified the suspect as a 16-year-old juvenile from Maryland. He was taken to the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, where a petition was issued charging the juvenile with grand larceny and false information.
