Award-Winning Kids' Band Mil's Trills Coming to Wolf Trap

The band, led by popular front woman Amelia Robinson, will perform at the Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods on Aug. 6 and 7.

Gather the family, as one of the East Coast’s hottest children’s bands is coming to Wolf Trap for a pair of shows later this summer.

Hit award-winning children’s rock band Mil’s Trills, led by Brooklyn-based front woman Amelia Robinson, will play shows on Thursday, Aug. 6, and Friday, Aug. 7, at the Wolf Trap Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods. Both shows begin at 10:30 a.m. and tickets to each show run $10 apiece.

Robinson, her electric ukulele and her band of rock stars bring a unique sound to the stage that touches on styles of music from all across the country, and even the globe. Fans will enjoy hints of urban funk, blues, honkey tonk, calypso, as well as some good, ol’ fashioned rock ‘n’ roll.

Mil’s Trills’ music aims to get crowds off their feet and singing and dancing along to the tune, and the messages of their songs inspire people to come together to share love and friendship.

“At our shows, each child is made to feel important and is recognized as an individual within the larger community,” Robinson said in a press release promoting the upcoming concerts. “My goal is to make everyone feel they’re a vital part of the bigger group. We give each child a sticker after the show that says, ‘I‘m in the band.’ Just by attending the show, everyone is automatically part of the project!”

The band will play songs from their 2014 debut album Everyone Together Now!, which was honored with a Parents’ Choice® Award last year, as well as selections from their new album Now That We’re Friends which is slated to be released on Sept. 23 of this year.

Personalized copies of the new album will be offered at a special, discounted pre-release price for attendees of the Wolf Trap shows next month.
