Back Pack Drive for At Risk Kids and Youth

BACK PACKS FOR BACK TO SCHOOL

Alternative House provides back packs for youths and teens every year and we need your assistance with this project. This is a tremendous help to us which allows Alternative House to help the youth and families in our community and help them get ready for the new school year! We are in need of 350 for our youth in the various programs. Deadline is August 15th.

The back packs must include all of the following materials in order to receive community service hours.

Backpack for Youths/Teens-Medium to Large-Boys/Girls

Items to go inside the back pack:

Lined paper

Spiral notebook or Composition Book

Pens

Pencils

Pencil Pouch/holder

*If you are in need of community service: For every back pack that you collect items for, assemble, and deliver you will earn 3 hours of community service if needed.

Please drop off completed snack packs at our Emergency Shelter for Teenagers between 8am – 6pm Mon.-Fri. and 2pm-5pm Sat. & Sun. Please do not forget to fill out a donation form in order to receive a letter! The Shelter is located at 2100 Gallows Road, Vienna, VA 22182.

If you need a separate letter for community service hours or if these are court appointed hours please make sure to contact Christine Bartell @ 703-506-9191 or admin@thealternativehouse.org, prior to delivering back packs for approval/confirmation.
