VIENNA, VA — Vienna's newest business has arrived on Church Street seeking to make waxing a gentle and comfortable experience.

Bare Skin Waxing held a ribbon cutting with Mayor Linda Colbert and other town officials last Thursday at 123 Church Street NW. This is the second location for the woman-owned salon, which started a decade ago with its first location in Old Town Alexandria.

"Recognizing limited options for specialized waxing services for individuals with sensitive skin, we set out to create a unique and gentle waxing technique," said Bare Skin Waxing's Kassy Stout in an email to Patch. "Our aim was to provide a comfortable hair removal experience without any irritation in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Over the years, we have served thousands of clients in the local area, helping them achieve smooth, hair-free skin - with comfort as our top priority."

With a focus on comfort for clients, Bare Skin specializes in waxing services like Brazilian waxing and waxing of legs, back, chest, arms, eyebrows or other areas. Brazilian waxing for women is the most popular service, utilizing high-quality wax techniques to remove hair while maintaining comfort and hygiene. Other popular services are leg waxing, which can be customized to include full legs or partial legs, as well as chest waxing for men.

The new location serves Vienna as well as surrounding communities like McLean and Fairfax. The business decided to expand to Vienna when staff noticed clients were traveling from these areas for Bare Skin's waxing services.

"As most of our waxing and skin care treatments take less than 30 minutes, we wanted to ensure that the journey to our salon was shorter than the service itself," said Stout. "This drove our decision to open a new location in Vienna, bringing us closer to our clients and allowing them to enjoy a flawless experience when seeking smooth and clear skin."

According to Stout, Bare Skin also chose Vienna due to its "vibrant history, cultural richness, and the community's embrace of different backgrounds." The business seeks to contribute to Vienna's "thriving beauty and wellness."

"Since our opening, we have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome and support we have received from the Vienna community and the surrounding areas," said Stout. "The response from local residents, economic development team, the Mayor, and local businesses has been incredibly positive and encouraging."
