VIENNA, VA — Bazin's on Church, a favorite contemporary American restaurant in Vienna for 18 years, has been sold and will be revamped under new owners.

Patrick and Julie Bazin shared on social media that they decided to sell Bazin's on Church and the neighboring Bazin's Next Door at 111 Church Street NW. The last day will be April 27. After that, it will be under new ownership. The new owners and new restaurant concept have not yet been announced.

Bazin's on Church has been a favorite for special occasions and its contemporary menu using seasonal and organic ingredients. The second restaurant, Bazin’s Next Door, opened in 2012 as a private event space. Bazin's on Church won praise from Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema in its early days and other publications like Wine Spectator, Northern Virginia Magazine and Washingtonian. Bazin's on Church is also known for its gluten-free offerings in response to Chef Patrick Bazin being diagnosed with Celiac disease.
