Biz Networkers Convene Wednesday Afternoon

It’s the fourth meeting of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Business Executives Networking Group. Launched in southern PA a decade ago, BENG is a voluntary association of business professionals founded on “Members Helping Members” for mutual benefit.

Our dealings are based on honesty, good faith, and mutual respect. We are non-discriminatory, and meetings have no admission charge.

HOW IT WORKS: (1) Each participant delivers an "elevator speech" and, since so many elevators are slow, you'll have up to four minutes. (2) Then, and also as part of the general back & forth, you can share recent breakthroughs, mishaps, and mysteries.

The chairwoman's gavel will keep things moving. And (3) be ready to spell out which companies, trade associations, hospitals, agencies etc. you seek contacts in, or welcome a better perspective on.

WHAT TO BRING: (a) A "tent card" with your name to place on the table in front of you; a lapel sticker is okay as substitute; (b) 20 copies of a ONE-PAGER featuring skills, objectives and contact info. If you distribute this page at the start of your presentation, fellow attendees are better able to deliver feedback and ideas.

ATTIRE: Business casual. All RSVPs should go to chapter president Heather Rosen -- HRosen@frannet.com. Questions or special requests can go to Frank Gregorsky at 703 281-1674.

The Northern VA chapter of BENG was launched on October 9th of last year. The parent website is www.TheBENG.org.
