Businesses Recognized For 2019 Vienna Sustainability Challenge
Eight businesses completed the sustainability challenge by earning points on a checklist of green practices.

VIENNA, VA — Eight businesses were recognized for their completion of the Vienna Sustainability Challenge in Vienna at the Town Council meeting on Jan. 6.
The challenge, which is free and open to businesses, nonprofits and community organizations in the Town of Vienna, features a checklist to complete. Businesses earn points by completing environmentally-friendly practices on the checklist in five categories: energy, water, waste reduction, purchasing and transportation.
To be certified, a business must earn at least 60 points. Up to 119 points can be earned. Awardees received a certificate of recognition from Town Council.
