The Longest Table Vienna

The Longest Table Event is coming to Vienna, Virginia for the second year!

What started as a simple idea to bring the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City together in 2022 for a post-pandemic potluck meal has turned into a global movement to foster community connection in cities all over the world. In the last four years, the Longest Table has been replicated with resounding success in cities like Paris, France; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Seattle, WA; Brooklyn Heights, NY, and many more. Good Morning America has featured the Longest Table's positive impact and Netflix’s hit show Emily in Paris highlighted a Longest Table dinner in a Season Four episode.

On Saturday, May 9, The Longest Table Vienna Coordinating Committee will be hosting the second annual Longest Table in the heart of Vienna. The Longest Table Vienna event will host up to 500 attendees on two long tables on Mill Street, with overflow picnickers participating on the Town Green lawn. This event is free and open to the public, with online reservations required to reserve seats at the table. A DJ and lawn games will provide entertainment throughout this event.

As of this release, current financial sponsors include Modera Wealth Management, United Bank, Stacy Tucker - State Farm and the Vienna Business Association. Students from the DECA club at James Madison High School will serve as the volunteers for the event.

The Longest Table Vienna has a local nonprofit partner, Rustic Love, which will be the recipient of any financial donations received during the event. Rustic Love is a grassroots 501(c)3 organization based in Vienna whose mission is to actively engage and bring the community together to help the food-insecure.

The Longest Table Vienna will take place Saturday, May 9 from 12 - 2pm.
