Patricia (Tish) Jennings, M.Ed., Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia and an internationally recognized leader in the field of mindfulness in education. After 22 years as a teacher and teacher educator, she received her doctorate in human development at the University of California and led the faculty team that developed CARE for Teachers at the Garrison Institute in New York. Her new book Mindfulness for Teachers draws upon research in neuroscience, psychology, and education to help teachers manage the stressful demands of the classroom, cultivate an exceptional learning environment, and revitalize teaching and learning.
