The Casual Pint To Blend Beers, Family Atmosphere At Dunn Loring Metro

VIENNA, VA — A new restaurant dubbed a "beerstro" is bringing beer and pub food to the Dunn Loring Metro area.

As first reported by FFX Now, co-owners Derek Adams and Jenn Longmeyer-Wood will open the Casual Pint at 2676 Avenir Place, Unit F, Fairfax, VA. The Casual Pint brands itself as a "beerstro," a place to go for "craft beer, fantastic food and a great time; basically the ultimate neighborhood gathering place." There is already a Northern Virginia location in the Falls Church area.

Longmeyer-Wood explained her desire to open a place similar to the Pig & Fiddle, a welcoming craft beer bar with a small but good food menu.

"When we moved back to Northern Virginia, my husband and I said, we need a Pig & Fiddle. That's when we found the Casual Pint," said Longmeyer-Wood in a video message.

Adams added, "The reason I got into this because literally I just wanted a good place to go to hang out with my friends, have a good beer. Since they're all family, I want them to bring their kids and have them there as well. Bring your pets."

The Casual Pint will have a sizable beer selection, as well as wines, ciders, non-alcoholic beers, and soft drinks and food like German pretzels with beer cheese, brats, burgers, and wings. The business seeks to provide a family-friendly and community atmosphere. Takeout will also be available with the option to get beers in packages, customized six packs, crowlers and growlers.
