Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods Begins Tuesday at Wolf Trap
It's a Washington-area summer tradition at the National Park for the Performing Arts.

VIENNA, VA -- Over the river and through the woods to a Wolf Trap show we go! Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts kicks off its Childrenās Theatre-in-the-Woods 2016 Season on Tuesday, June 21, with Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and actress Lisa Loeb.

The Childrenās Theatre-in-the-Woods season runs until Aug. 6, and features 35 performances that aim to entertain and educate young minds by engaging them in diverse performing arts experiences. See the full lineup and get ticket information here.
As part of Wolf Trapās commitment to arts and arts education, Childrenās Theatre-in-the-Woods has been a place that inspires creativity and fosters a love of the arts each summer since 1971. Families enjoy diverse acts ranging from puppetry, storytelling, dance, theater and music.

Opening week features performances by Lisa Loeb (June 21), David Engel with Pirate School! (June 22), Up in Arms with Monster Intelligence (June 23), and two performances by Josh & the Jamtones (June 24 and June 25).
Fourteen acts this summer make their Wolf Trap debuts, including cross-cultural Latin music star 123 AndrĆ©s (June 29); Seattleās acclaimed ākindie rockā group The Not-Its! (July 26 and uly 27); and spirited street dance crew Fly Dance Company (Aug. 3 and Aug. 4). Fan favorites returning this year include sketch comedy musical group Story Pirates (July 15 and July 16), wacky scientist Mr. Molecule (July 20 and July 21) and more.
Situated in the heart of Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, Childrenās Theatre-in-the-Woods welcomes families, school and summer camp groups, caregivers and their young ones Tuesday through Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $8 to $12 and children under 2 enter free of charge.
