The CHO Christmas Store & Bike Program on December 10 Need Your Help

CHO's annual Christmas Store for needy families on December 10 needs volunteers and donations of used bikes, new toys and gift cards

The Committee for Helping Others ( CHO) will host its annual Christmas Store for needy families on December 10 at the Vienna Presbyterian Church on Maple Avenue in Vienna. This program makes the holidays happier for the 200 struggling families that CHO will be helping this year. Volunteers are needed to set up on Friday, December 9 and to help the shoppers on Saturday, December 10. Donations and help with the bike giveaway program are also needed.

The Store needs new toys for children up to 12 years, gift cards for teens, lightly worn jackets and coats, and food cards. Call 703-281-7614 and leave a message in box #1 if you can help with time or donations.

The Christmas Store also gives away gently used and refurbished bikes, and donations and assistance with cleaning is needed. Bikes will be collected and cleaned on Saturdays, November 12 and November 26 between 10 am and 2 pm, at the Vienna Presbyterian Church parking lot, as well as on on Saturdays, November 19 and December 3 between 10 am and 2 pm, at the Antioch Christian Church at 1860 Beulah Road, Vienna. Additional cleaning help on weekdays is also helpful. Contact Ed Porter at edjporter8@gmail.com with questions about the bike program.
