Crash On Maple Avenue Puts Car Over Sidewalk: Police
A car changing lanes caused another car to run over the sidewalk and past bushes, according to Vienna Police.
VIENNA, VA—A crash on Maple Avenue caused a car to go over the sidewalk on Saturday, Feb. 23, according to the Vienna Police Department.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Maple Avenue. The first vehicle was in the westbound left lane and attempted to merge into the right lane. The vehicle struck a second vehicle when entering the right lane, police say.
The second vehicle went over the sidewalk, through bushes and struck a light post and fire lane sign. No injuries were reported.

The first driver received a summons for failure to pay full time and attention.

An unknown person, claiming to be a Town employee, submitted a request to the Town Finance
Department for the employee’s payroll to be direct deposited into a fraudulent account.

February 24 9:35 p.m.
An employee reported that a man and woman left the store with multiple items that they did not pay for.
Marshall Road and Ware Street, SW
February 25 4:45 p.m.
A resident reported that her vehicle was struck with a paintball on the driver side door while she was driving from Ware Street turning onto Marshall Road. She did not observe anyone in the area.
Tapawingo Road and Nutley Street, SW
February 26 7:40 a.m.
Officers responded to assist with a pedestrian who was suffering a medical emergency. A resident
observed the man was unresponsive and began CPR. The man was transported by rescue personnel to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

February 26 6:27 p.m.
Vehicle-1 was traveling through the parking lot when she struck Pedestrian-1. The pedestrian was
transported by rescue personnel to an area hospital with minor injury.
