Driver Strikes WolfTrap Motel, Flees the Scene
Driver was attempting to back out, but apparently pulled forward instead, police say.

Motel hit and run? It appears so.
Last Monday night, Nov. 11, at 10:06 p.m., the driver of a vehicle was attempting to back out of a parking space at the Vienna WolfTrap Motel at 430 Maple Avenue, SW in Vienna, according to the Vienna Police Department.
The driver pulled forward instead, striking the front door of the business. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to provide information, according to police.

Nov. 7
At the 400 block of Maple Avenue, West, at 6:45 p.m., the drivers of two vehicles were traveling westbound on Maple Avenue, NW in the same lane of travel.
The driver of the first vehicle stopped due to traffic and was rear ended by the second vehicle.
Nov. 8
At Church Street near Lawyers Road, NW, at 3:27 p.m., the driver of the first vehicle was traveling westbound on Church Street and attempted to turn into a parking lot and was struck by the driver of a vehicle that was backing up.
Nov. 11
Maple Avenue at Niblick Drive, SE, at 9:56 a.m., the driver of a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Maple Avenue, SE. The driver stated she swerved to avoid striking an animal which caused her vehicle to leave the roadway, travel up onto the median and strike a sign. The driver was charged with Failure to Pay Full Time and Attention.

At Nutley Street at Maple Avenue, SW, at 11:35 a.m., the drivers of two vehicles were traveling northbound on Nutley Street approaching Maple Avenue, SW in the same lane of travel. The driver of the first vehicle stopped due to a turning vehicle and was rear ended by the second vehicle.

At the WolfTrap Motel at 430 Maple Avenue, SW at 10:06 p.m., the driver of a vehicle was attempting to back out of a parking space and pulled forward instead, striking the front door of the business. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to provide information.
Nov. 12
Maple Avenue near Glyndon Street, SE, at 2:40 p.m., the driver of a vehicle stated that he had temporarily taken his eyes off the roadway at which time his vehicle left the roadway, traveled up onto the curb, struck a tree and then a light pole. The driver was charged with Failure to Pay Full Time and Attention.
Nov. 13
At Maple Avenue at Lewis Street, NW, at 6:59 a.m., the driver of the first vehicle was traveling westbound on Maple Avenue, NW. The driver of the second vehicle was traveling southbound on Lewis Street and stopped at the stop sign at Maple Avenue, NW. The driver of the second vehicle attempted to make a left turn to proceed eastbound on Maple Avenue, SW and struck the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was charged with Failure to Obey a Stop Sign/Yield Sign.

At the 300 Block Maple Avenue, East at 9:58 a.m., the owner of a legally parked vehicle discovered that an unknown vehicle had struck her vehicle.

At Maple Avenue near Nutley Street, West, at 5:12 p.m., the driver of the first vehicle was traveling west bound on Maple Avenue, West. The driver of the second vehicle was attempting to exit a parking lot and struck the first vehicle.
