Fairfax County Coronavirus Update: 277 New Cases, 204 Deaths

There are 4,684 total cases of the new coronavirus in the Fairfax Health District, as of Monday morning.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — There are 277 new cases of the new coronavirus in the Fairfax Health District, as of Monday morning, bringing the total number of cases in the health district to 4,684.

There have been a total of 204 deaths in Fairfax Health District as of Monday morning, according to the Fairfax County Health Department COVID-19 Case Data Dashboard. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus. As of Monday morning, there are 784 coronavirus-related hospitalizations in the health district.

The data dashboard breaks down the number of coronavirus cases in the health district by locality. There are currently 4,615 confirmed cases in Fairfax County, 33 in the City of Fairfax and 36 in the City of Falls Church.

The breakdown by combined zip code is as follows:

  • 220: 1,934 cases
  • 221: 877 cases
  • 223: 967 cases
  • 201: 756 cases

The breakdown of cases by age is:

  • Ages 0-17: 150 cases, or 53.7 per 100,000 people
  • Ages 18-49: 2,466 cases, or 477.4 per 100,000 people
  • Ages 50-64: 1,181 cases, or 500.3 per 100,000 people
  • Ages 65 and over: 887 cases, or 593.9per 100,000 people
  • Total 4.684 cases, or 396.5 per 100,000 people

In response to donation offers, the county has compiled a number of ways to help. Monetary donations can go to the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia's COVID-19 Response Fund. The county is accepting personal protective equipment donations for health department staff and safety net health care providers. Donations can include N95 masks, surgical masks, disposable medical gowns, shoe coverings, hair coverings, nitrile gloves and other medical supplies.

Volunteer Fairfax also has a list of donation requests from nonprofits.
