Fairfax County Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in the Fair Oaks Police District, which includes areas surrounding the Town of Vienna. Police do not give the exact location of a sobriety checkpoint beforehand.
Sobriety checkpoints are one tool police officers use to be sure drivers aren’t drinking alcohol and getting behind the wheel.
The Fair Oaks Police District includes Chantilly, Fairfax, Herndon, Oakton, Oak Hill and Vienna areas of Fairfax County.

Personnel: 155 including 113 officers, 14 auxiliary officers, 1 traffic enforcement officer and 27 civilians
District Size: 37 square miles
