A firefighter was taken to the hospital after crews responded to commercial building fire Friday afternoon.

VIENNA, VA – A Fairfax County firefighter has been hospitalized after responding to a commercial fire in Vienna on Friday, according to the department.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue reports that crews responded to a commercial building fire at 400 Mill St NE in Vienna just after 12:30 p.m. They found a two-story commercial structure with smoke and fire showing from the roof and building bays. As they battled the fire, a second alarm was requested because of the building’s size.
According to the department, fire crews evacuated all occupants, but one firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the blaze is under investigation, they say.
