Driver Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash On Route 7 In Fairfax County
Fairfax County Police said one person died after a Sunday morning crash on Leesburg Pike.
VIENNA, VA — Fairfax County Police said one person died after a Sunday morning crash on Route 7 in the Wolf Trap and Dranesville area.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. at Leesburg Pike and Towlston Road, according to police. Detectives determined a Honda Accord driver heading south on Towlston Road attempted a left turn onto Leesburg Pike. The vehicle was struck by a GMC Sierra heading westbound on Leesburg Pike at the intersection.
The Honda driver was taken to the hospital, where she died of her injuries. She was identified as Holly Kuga, 72, of Great Falls.

Detectives continue to investigate whether speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. Charges are pending further investigation.
