Fire Starts At Unoccupied Dunn Loring Home
Smoke alarms in a neighboring home led a resident to discover the fire.

An unoccupied Dunn Loring house caught fire Wednesday, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department says.
Fairfax and Arlington County firefighters responded to the 2200 block of Journet Drive shortly before midnight. Crews found fire showing from the first floor of a three-story end unit townhouse. The fire was quickly extinguished without injury.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire. Smoke alarms in a neighboring home alerted its resident to the blaze.

Fire investigators say a hardwood floor sander started the fire. No one was displaced after the fire, and initial damage estimates are $93,750.
