Former Fairfax County Police Chief Injured In Car Accident
A driver is being charged in a car accident that injured Dave Rohrer, the deputy Fairfax County executive.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA—A driver is being charged in a car accident that injured Dave Rohrer, the deputy Fairfax County executive Tuesday.
Rohrer was driving on West Ox Road in Fairfax around 5:45 p.m. when a car crashed into him. The driver was making a left turn onto Polo Drive while Rohrer was going straight. Rohrer, who was driving a Fairfax County vehicle, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was released.
Samir Mishra, 29, of Fairfax, has been charged with failure to yield right-of-way on a left turn. The county vehicle was damaged in the front and had to be towed. Rohrer served as the police chief from 2004 to 2012 before taking the role as deputy county executive.
