Former Fairfax Sheriff's Deputy Accused Of Sexual Assault
A former inmate told authorities the sheriff's deputy sexually assaulted her.

FAIRFAX, VA—A former Fairfax County sheriff's deputy is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting an inmate, the police department announced Tuesday.
Fairfax County Police obtained warrants for arrest Tuesday morning. Keith Washington, 47, of Stafford, was charged with one count of carnal knowledge of an inmate and one count of sexual battery. He turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He is being held without bond and will be transferred to a jail in another jurisdiction.
The sheriff's office contacted detectives on Aug. 13, 2017 after a former female inmate reported the incident. The woman claims Washington sexually assaulted her in December 2016 or January 2017.

Washington resigned on Dec. 14, 2017 ahead of his pending firing, according to the sheriff's office.
