Former Vienna School Employee Accused Of Embezzlement

The former administrative assistant is accused of misappropriating funds and forging the principal's signature.

VIENNA, VA — A former employee at Westbriar Elementary School in Vienna is facing charges related to financial crimes, Fairfax County Police say.

Detectives began investigating in August 2018 when school officials noticed fraudulent credit card activity. Investigations revealed alleged misappropriation of funds by Adebisi Ogun, 29, of New York. She is also accused of forging the principal's signature on checks for personal use over one year.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants in September 2018, but she wasn't arrested until Jan. 15 of this year in New York. Arrest warrants were served on Jan. 22. She faces charges of embezzlement, forgery and uttering.

Ogun was formerly an administrative assistant at Westbriar Elementary School.
