This concert is free to members of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington and half price for members of the Songwriters Association of Washington.

Beginners and aspiring songwriters who seek to hone their craft are invited to Bob’s two-part, afternoon songwriting workshop at the Surge Community Church in McLean, VA on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26.

In first workshop session, from 1-4 pm on Saturday, Bob will talk about resources for songwriters. Then he will interview participants and give them individual songwriting assignments. The next day, at 3 p.m., the participants bring back their first drafts for a compassionate and specific group critique with suggestions for revision. Bob ensures a safe and nurturing environment for writers at all skill levels.
