The Madison girls fell to Oakton 7-9 on April 1, but logged victories before and after against Fairfax (19-2 on March 28), South Lakes (17-5 on March 30), Yorktown (18-13 on April 4) and McLean (10-7 on April 6). Scoring for the Warhawks in these games were Carly Rogers, Zoe Dyer, Caroline Turner, Annabel Bentley, Grace Knicely, Diana Lowther, McKenna Nolan, Logan Hanton, Anya Saponja, Ashley Go, Bailey Brummer, Grace McDonough, Morgan Muse, Olivia Choutka and Kim Cook. Rogers topped the tally with 14 goals and 10 assists, while Zoe Dyer had 13 goals and 7 assists. Key assists were also provided by Saponja, Hanton, Go, Lowther, Turner, Brummer, McDonough, Nolan, Choutka and Caroline Kurtz. Madison's defense was especially effective with Go, Kurtz, Dyer, Saponja, Rogers, Turner, Hanton, Brummer, McDonough and Muse harrying their opponents by intercepting passes, causing turnovers and snagging ground balls. Ellie Socher was strong in goal, blocking 10 shots in the South Lakes game alone. The Warhawks are currently 10-1 on the season.
