A Guide To Upcoming Elections in Vienna

The statewide primary is still months away, but Vienna voters can vote in local elections on May 2.

VIENNA, VA -- The statewide primary election is June 13, but there are two opportunities for Vienna residents to vote before that date.

On Tuesday, May 6, Vienna is holding a town election. Vienna voters can cast a ballot for candidates in three open Town Council Seats. Polls will be from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Photo identification is required by Virginia law.

Three incumbents, Councilmembers Carey Sienicki, Howard Springsteen and Tara Voigt are running unopposed.

For voters that are not able to vote at their polling locations June 13, in-person absentee voting begins Friday, April 28 and runs through June 10. Voters can apply for an absentee ballot by June 6 and return the ballot by June 13.

The voter registration deadline for the primary is May 22.

There are no state Senate elections this year, and Del. Mark Keam (D) is unopposed in the primary.
